4th of July: CTMP Experience
What an amazing race this was! Of all 2019, this track was definitely my favorite. It is super scary and very fast with little to no runoff at all. With the track being as technical as it is, I made the decision to let it all out and push. We qualified the car in 5th with just .400 separating the top 5. From here, I passed my team’s other car, #47 being driven by Rodrigo Pflucker on the inside of turn 2 for the 4th place position, chasing down Stevan McAleer. Just as I pulled into the pits with only tenths separating us, I handed the car off to my co-driver Nikko Reger. He drove a great stint sitting in p6 where he got taken out by lap traffic causing him to hit the outside wall in turn 5. This not only cost us our pace but our front and rear body panels on the car.
